Moonglow by Kim Carney – Presented by Tinahely Variety Group

Part of Kildare 67th Drama Festival
Date: 13 March | Time: 8pm | Venue: CMWS Hall

Tinahely Variety Group presents Moonglow, a moving and heartfelt play by Kim Carney that explores the impact of Alzheimer’s through the unexpected bond between two residents of a care facility. Following its February 2026 run at Tinahely Community Hall, the production is now touring drama festivals across Ireland.

The story follows Maxine, a feisty and slightly bitter woman reluctant to enter a nursing facility, and Joe, a widower who shares her love of dance. As past and present intertwine on stage, their connection blossoms into a tender affair, navigating memory, love and family expectations. Moonglow delicately balances humour and poignancy, celebrating both the fragility and the resilience of the human spirit.
