Clann Machua brings Frank McGuinness’s witty and engaging play Greta Garbo Came to Donegal to the stage as part of the Kildare Drama Festival. Set in 1967, the story unfolds when the legendary screen icon Greta Garbo unexpectedly arrives in Donegal, sending ripples through the lives of those around her.

As a family and two couples find themselves on the brink of major changes, Garbo’s presence sparks moments of humour, reflection and revelation. Full of charm and lively dialogue, this entertaining production promises an enjoyable evening of theatre.
